HP-PRINCIPAL

Reviews and analyzes instructors' records to ensure accuracy and program compliance.  The Principal prepares reports and records on departmental functioning as directed by the Director of Training and serves as Acting Manager of Training in the absence of the Manager.  Monitors and evaluates staff performance and program effectiveness.  Also, assist in the development and implementation of in-service staff training programs. They ensure that individual curricula are developed and implemented according to the PRH Guidelines, the PAG, Caddo Parish School and Corporate goals, and objectives.  Helps educational staff resolve problems related to student control and discipline.  In addition, they make provisions to adjust class sizes within prescribed limits, when necessary to increase utilization of existing staff during vacations and absences.  The Principal maintains an on-going inventory and accountability of all departmental property and supplies.  Acts in any other capacities as directed to ensure the proper and satisfactory operation of the Training Department. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters Degree with a Bachelors in Education required, with a concentration in Secondary or Adult Education preferred.  Advanced degree highly desirable.  Five years teaching experience at the secondary level desired plus training in Administration and Supervision required.  Experience with at risk or culturally deprived youth highly preferred.

State Teacher's Certification Valid Type A required

A Valid Drivers License is required.
