Read and stay abreast of Job Coprs and corporate correspondence to include but not limited to: Case notes, JCDC and national office newsletters, PRH, and PAG change notices, Opewrating Procedures and information sent via electronic mail. Adjust program operation(s) and or services to students accordingly.
Meet and greet new students in the CPP phase and explain the roles and responsibilities of the CDS and expernal partners.
Initiate one-on-one monthly meetings with students to establish a rapport that will allow for early identification and understanding of placement needs and services.
Become familiar with each student's career interests and goaals, transitional and support needs, and provide assistance to remove barriers as warranted.
Schedule individual student meetings at break or non-class hours. Conduct meetings in a professional setting where the student feels comfortable sharing information and the discusions may be perceived as private or confidential.
Initiate face-to-face or telephone contact with earch graduate and his/her assigned Career Transition Specialist within two (2) days after the students name appears on the electronic pre-seperation list. Identify the students anticipated separation date with the CTS, and notify the CTS of separation date changes.
Be an active participant in meetings where student progress is assessed and other discussions pertaining top the students on your caseload.
